35. Nov. 15. In class the students are working on an owl story in which they will incorporate true facts. Tomorrow there's a French field trip and Friday a ped day therefore, there will be no English class till next Monday.
34. Nov. 14: Finish owl sheets. Today we watched a few interesting videos about owls!!

32. Nov. 9: Grammar lessons 10, 12 + 13 are due on Friday.
31. Nov. 8: Spelling and reading log.
30. Nov. 7: Spelling lesson 5 due Friday. What a fabulous job you did on your bat posters!!!
29. Nov. 2: Congratulations on fabulous oral presentations!!! Be ready Friday to work on your bat project. Bring whatever you like to class to beautify your poster!
28. Nov. 1: Bat research work is due on Friday. Complete p 26 bat vocabulary for tomorrow. I will begin to check reading logs tomorrow. Spelling test need to be corrected and signed.
27.Oct.31: HAPPY HALLOWEEN! NO HOMEWORK (orals tomorrow). Awesome work on the orals so far!!! Using the projector makes it more fun!
26. Oct. 26: Each student has been assigned a bat to research. Neatly complete the bat research sheet. Print pictures of your bat and bring everything to class on Friday, November 4. You can also bring letter stickers to make a nice title on your board. Alexia, you can do the greater mouse eared bat.
25. Oct. 25: Complete bat chart page. Find information on 4 different bats.
24. Oct. 24: Postcard evaluation went home today. Sign and return it to show me if it's stamped. Bat Unit: Read bat anatomy facts (wings, claws, fur), vampire bat information and label the bat (cut + glue).
23. Oct 21: Correct and sign spelling.
22.Oct. 19: Complete good copy of your fable. Write the title in the banner, write neatly, color the pictures on the sides. Hand it in on Friday.
21. Oct. 18: Read log. I will be evaluating in early November.
20. Oct. 17: Grammar test went home today. Sign it if there's a stamp. Complete the first page of the folk tales hand out. Give 3 or 4 different scenarios. Scholastic deadline Thursday.
19. Oct. 14: Complete 2 work sheet on The Real Princess.
18. Oct. 12: Lesson 3 spelling due Monday, Oct. 17.
17. Oct. 11: Unit 1 grammar test. Answer questions for your story starter. Quick answers that will help you respond. Only the questions.
16. Oct. 5: Postcard book report is due Tuesday, Oct. 11. Unit 1 grammar test is on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Nice job on the orals everyone!!
15. Oct. 4: Nice job group 2!! Last group presents tomorrow. Grammar is due. I checked the reading logs today and some students are not keeping up. Check agendas tonight!
14. Oct. 3: Unit 1 grammar review is due on Wednesday. UNIT 1 TEST WILL BE NEXT WEDNESDAY, OCT. 12. Nice job group 1 on the orals!! Group 2 tomorrow.
13. Sept. 28: Reading log is daily. DD work due on Friday. Orals begin on Monday.
12. Sept. 27: Correct and sign spelling test. Complete 4 work sheets on Daniel's Duck for Friday. Grammar tomorrow.
11. Sept. 26: An error was made regarding the dates of the orals. A new sheet is going home today. Read Daniel's Duck pages 58-79. Grammar lessons 6-9 due Wednesday. BOOK REPORT PROJECT NOTICE WENT HOME TODAY. It is due on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11. Read the handout carefully.
10. Sept. 23: Oral presentation handout went home today. They begin on Oct. 4.
9. Sept. 20: Read Reggie Alone p. 82-85. Complete 2 sided work sheet. Adam and Bedros also need to finish their apple letter. There's no school tomorrow!
8. Sept. 19: Spelling lesson 2 due Friday. Complete apple shape letter to Johnny Appleseed.
7. Sept. 14: Continue in your reading log.
6. Sept. 13: Bring an apple to class tomorrow. Keep on top of your reading log. I will do a spot check again.
5. Sept. 12: Read Johnny Appleseed text. Complete questions.
4. Sept. 9: The follower students have not done their reading log since given on Sept. 2: Chloe, Farah, Philo, Kevork, Ludwig, Steven, Emily, Gor. This will be graded! Keep track of your child. Thank you.
3. Sept. 7: Grammar lessons 1-5 due on Friday. Spelling due on Friday. Reading log is every day.
2. Sept. 6: Reader: Mine Will, Said John pages 18-24. Complete 3 pages of work for tomorrow. Scholastic book club notices. Last day to order is Sept. 12. Scholastic was sent home today.
