HOMEWORK

MESSAGE TO PARENTS: My school email is for important messages only. I will not answer messages regarding how I manage my class or for marks given on assignments and tests. This email system is for real concerns and important information about your child that I need to know. Thank you for your understanding.

52. Jan. 30: No homework. In class evaluations today.

51. Jan. 23: Spelling lesson 16 is due on Friday.

50. Jan. 19: Complete Nate work pages 23, 24, 25, 26 for tomorrow.

49. Jan. 16: Complete Nate work pages up to and including page 22 for tomorrow.

48. Jan. 12: Today we began our first novel : Nate the Great and the Sticky Case. Read at home pages 7-17 (not past). Complete the 1st page in the work book for tomorrow. Remember to always have your work with you as this is what we are doing in class. Oral presentation hand out went home today. They begin Jan. 23.

48. Jan. 17: Read Nate ch. 2 pages 18-33. Complete work book pages 23 + 24.

47. Jan. 9: Spelling lesson 15 due on Friday. Read your library book.

46. Dec. 21: Congratulations to all of you who participated in the Christmas show today. You were fabulous!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

45. Dec. 19: Today we recorded the video and it's so cute! I hope you like it. It is now up on the school home page.

44. Dec. 15: We are learning the song, Santa Claus is Comint to Town. I gave everyone the lyrics and here is the link to practice with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWv72L4wgCc . We will make a video next week. I will be nice if you wear a Santa hat!

43. Dec. 13: Complete tree form poem, color and cut out.

42. Dec. 12: Read Christmas Gifts. Correct and sign spelling.

41. Dec. 6: Today the students wrote letters to Santa. Thursday we'll address the envelopes and mail them to the North Pole!!

40. Dec. 5: Spelling lesson 14 due on Friday. Read your library book.

39. Dec. 1 Reader p 190-199.

38. Nov. 29: Read I Can See Christmas p 190-199. Complete 2 sided work sheet.

37. Nov. 28: In class the children are working on a story that they're writing. Read your libray book. Correct and sign your spelling.

25. Oct. 24: Read Go Away, Dog p. 63-70. Complete 2 sided work sheet. Oral presentation #2 notice went home today. Group 1 is Nov. 3.

24. Oct. 21: Complete story chart sheet for Monday.

23: Oct. 20: Read your new library book.

22. Oct. 18: Complete title page for your story. It must include the story title, your name and a nice picture of your story. Staple the top left hand corner. Return it on Thursday.

21. Oct. 17: Read Five Enormous Dinosaurs p. 62. Complete 2 sided work sheet. Correct and sign spelling lesson 9. Spelling lesson 10 is due Friday, Oct 21. Scholastic deadline Thursday.

20. Oct. 13: Read Henny Penny and complete 2 sides sheet.

19. Oct. 11: Reader: Henny Penny pages 53-59.

18. Oct. 6: NO HOMEWORK.....enjoy your extra long weekend!!!

17. Oct. 4: Reader p. 42-49. Spelling due Thursday.

16. Oct. 3: Read Trouble in the Ark p 42-49. Complete 3 sheets.

15. Sept. 30: Spelling lesson 9 due next Thurs. Awesome presentations today!! Thank you to all the students who try their best to entertain us. It's much appreciated!!!!

14. Sept. 29: Reader p. 33-41. Orals tomorrow.

13. Sept. 27: Reader p 33-41. Correct and sign spelling. Orals tomorrow. Nice work group 2!!! We had a surprise visit from Angelina's turtle!

12. Sept. 26: Read The Baby Beebee Bird p. 33-41. Complete 3 work sheets for tomorrow. Orals continue tomorrow. Good job group 1!!

11. Sept. 23: Oral presentation handout went home today. They begin on Monday, Sept. 26.

10. Sept. 22: Some students have to complete their food poem. Spelling is due tomorrow.

9. Sept. 20: Read the 2 poems again. Some kids will come home with their poem to recopy neatly with a nice colorful picture to match. Others did not complete in class their rough copy and will continue in class on Thursday.

8. Sept. 19: Spelling lesson 8 due Friday. Read poems: Beans, Beans, Beans and Bread, Bread, Bread. Think about your food topic for tomorrow.

7. Sept. 15: PARENT/TEACHER CURRICULUM NIGHT. Read your library book. Journal writing: write about a puppy you know or make up a story about you and your puppy. Draw and color a nice picture (NOT MARKERS). This was started in class. Let your child do their own writing. They are sounding out words. Please cover this book in clear plastic.

6. Complete vocabulary M booklet. Cut, glue and cirlce the word in the box. Put the word in a sentence beside the picture. Do ALL for Thursday.

5. Sept. 12: Read The Last Puppy pages 19-26. Complete work sheets for tomorrow. Spelling has gone home to be signed, corrected and returned tomorrow.

4. Sept. 9: Read your library book and return it when you're done for a new one!

3. Sept. 8: Read Mother Bear's Robin. Complete writing work sheet "Favorite Part". For tomorrow. Spelling lesson 7 is due tomorrow.

2. Sept. 6: Read Mother Bear's Robin pages 4-12. Complete 2 sided vocabulary sheet. Cover your spelling copy book in clear plastic. All for next class on Thursday. Scholastic was sent home today.

1. Sept. 2: Spelling lesson 7 due Friday, Sept. 9. Complete all pages and learn the 10 words for the spelling test. A spelling copy book was sent home with your child today. Please cover it in clear plastic and return it to class on Tuesday.
